Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to residents of 13 settlements, de-energized due to shelling

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore power to 13 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring access to electricity for 13,000 families. Specialists of the energy company are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the frontline region once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

On July 5, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 13 settlements, affected by hostilities, thus restoring electricity to 13,027 families. 

Hostilities in the Donetsk region are ongoing. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, communities both relatively distant from the frontline and those in the immediate vicinity to it are shelled on the daily basis. In particular, Toretsk community suffered several air strikes yesterday. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 107 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 498 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
