DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to more than 38,000 families in the Donetsk region over the course of the day

On May 4, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have restored electricity to residents of 33 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring power to homes of more than 38,000 families in the Donetsk region. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 33 settlements of the Donetsk region, thus restoring access to power supply for 38,081 families. 

Shelling of the Donetsk region continues. The situation remains very difficult there. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on the offensive in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. The fiercest battles are over Bakhmut and Marinka. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 120 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 436 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
