DTEK energy workers restored electricity to more than 1,200 homes in the Donetsk region over the course of the day

Over the course of the day, August 5, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, managed to restore power to more than 1,200 homes in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to constant shelling of the region. Specialists of the energy company commence repair of the grids once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for works performance.

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored power to residents of 9 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 1,282 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the General Staff of the AFU, areas of Khromove, Klishchiivka, Stupochky, Dyliivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, New York, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Torske, Serebrianka, Dibrova and Spirne were hit by air strikes yesterday. Artillery shelling of the region continues as well. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 110 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 529 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
