DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to more than 16,000 families in the Donetsk region over the course of two days
Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore power to 35 settlements, de-energized due to constant shelling of the region, thus restoring electricity to 16,318 families in the frontline region.
Hostilities are ongoing in the Donetsk region. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, shelling of the region continues. In particular, Kramatorsk was hit by a missile strike. Other communities of the region suffered from artillery shelling, as well.
Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 115 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Bad weather also added some work for the energy workers: hurricane wind and heavy rain caused damage to grids and equipment. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists restored electricity to more than 15,000 families, affected by adverse weather conditions.
