DTEK Donetsk Grids restored power to more than 11,000 households over the course of two days

On March 7 and 8, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to access a number of sites of grids and equipment damage and repair it, thus restoring power to more than 11,000 households in 3 settlements of the Donetsk region, affected by shelling. Energy workers commence restoration activities immediately after the military and sappers permit in order to support residents of the region in the difficult situation of constant hostilities.

Despite the difficult situation in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to restore power to 11,247 households in 3 settlements over the course of two days.

Donetsk region remains an arena of heavy fighting. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, the situation remains intense – massive artillery shelling, air and missile strikes are ongoing.

Due to hostilities, 113 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 379 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
