In July, DTEK has restored power to almost 458,000 families in 522 settlements of the Donetsk region, left without electricity due to shelling

Over the course of a month, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to restore electricity to 522 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to a total of almost 458,000 families. Energy workers repair lines and equipment again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.

Despite hostilities in July, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of military, were able to completely or partially restore power to 522 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to 457,833 families in districts that are being constantly de-energized due to shelling.

For instance, last week DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have accessed a number of grids damages, thus restoring electricity to residents of 150 settlements, which is more than 163,000 families in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut and Volnovakha districts.

Hostilities remained very active in the Donetsk region last month. Massive shelling was carried out from all types of weapons available at the frontline. Destruction of electrical infrastructure of the region continued as well. 334 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to commence repairs.
