In November, DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to more than 3.5 million homes after the attacks
Last month, the enemy intensified attacks on peaceful towns and villages, including the energy industry facilities. Despite constant threat and difficult situation in the energy system, specialists of the DTEK Grids DSO continued to work on grids and equipment repairs both in the frontline and in the more distant regions of the company’s presence. In the Donetsk region in particular, they managed to restore electricity to more than 1.7 mln* homes of local residents in November. The Donetsk region remains an arena of the hardest battles. And though restoring power supply here becomes increasingly difficult and dangerous, energy workers continue to work once the situation and the military permit.
The Dnipropetrovsk region is constantly suffering from missile attacks and enemy shelling too, especially the south of the region, which is close to the combat zone. Last month, energy workers managed to restore electricity to homes of 664,400 families of local residents.
Enemy attacks on the capital and the Kyiv region became almost ceaseless. In November, specialists here managed to restore electricity to 568,800 and 424,200 homes correspondingly.
During the same period, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators restored electricity to homes of 169,900 residents of the Odesa region, which is also frequently attacked by the enemy.
“Despite the intensification of enemy attacks on Ukraine in November, energy workers continue to hold the energy front. We are doing everything possible, and sometimes impossible, to provide residents and critical infrastructure with electricity as much as it is possible in the conditions of regular attacks. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, we have already restored electricity to 28.3* million families in Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, as well as in the capital,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
Company’s specialists continue to work together with AFU and SES in the regions of fiercest hostilities and restore operation of the grids immediately after obtaining permission from them.
