Electricity has been restored to more than 140,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions last week
Over the past week (November 14 through 20), specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators have restored operation of grids, damaged due to hostilities, for 141,000 families in 87 settlements of Kyiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Most of these settlements, especially in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, frequently suffer from russia’s shelling, so energy workers have to frequently restore electricity to them.
For instance, electricity has been restored to almost 20,000 families in the Donetsk region, where hostilities are consistently intense, and to 67,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
In the Kyiv region, DTEK has restored power to 54,000 families, left without electricity in the evening of November 15 due to russia’s attack on the critical infrastructure facilities.
96 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists will definitely restore electricity to homes of all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The situation in the energy system remains difficult. In accordance with NPC Ukrenergo order, stabilization or emergency power cutoffs have been introduced in most of the regions in order to stabilize the energy system and avoid large-scale emergencies.
Please treat energy workers with patience and understanding. They are working 24/7 and doing everything possible to ensure that you have electricity at home.
