Over the course of a week, DTEK has restored power to almost 1,000 customers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, who suffered from hostilities

Over the course of a week (May 9 through 15), Dnipropetrovsk region has frequently suffered from enemy shelling that caused damage to energy infrastructure of the region. DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews have restored electricity to 972 homes that suffered from hostilities and completely restored power to 82 settlements, partially left without electricity due to bad weather on Saturday.

Last week, frontier areas in the Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region at the border with Kherson region have been shelled by the invaders several times. Energy workers have been repairing damaged grids on a daily basis, thus restoring electricity to 972 families in 3 settlements of the region. Some homes required power restoration on multiple occasions due to regular shelling and damage of power equipment.

Additionally, energy workers have completely restored power after bad weather that occurred in the region on May 14. Rains and squally wind gusts de-energized 22,310 homes in 82 settlements of Dnipro, Kamianske, Kryvyi Rih and Synelnykove districts, damaging 26 overhead lines and 455 transformer substations. The same day, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists have promptly restored service to all mass customers. While on Sunday, they completed processing individual requests by restoring electricity to all homes of residents of the affected districts.

There are no power cutoffs scheduled for May 16. The situation related to power supply of the region is under complete control.

Since the beginning of war, DTEK Dnipro Grids repair crews were transferred to the emergency response and restoration operating mode and are ready to promptly restore service in case of blackouts.
