DTEK Donetsk Grids to restore service to 38 settlements that lost power after severe weather
“DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests, takes care of its customers and does everything to ensure that their homes always have lights on and comfort. Our emergency teams and dispatchers work 24/7 to do emergency recovery work,” says Oleksii Degtyarev, Head of DTEK Donetsk Grids. “During the day, we returned the electricity to 43,000 households engaging 94 repair teams, and 66 pieces of equipment. The company's energy workers are making every effort to restore the power supply in the affected areas as soon as possible."
The northern and central parts of the region - Kramatorsky, Bakhmutsky and Pokrovsky Districts – witnessed the most outages. It was quite challenging to do the emergency recovery work because of thunderstorms, and strong winds.
DTEK Donetsk Grids crews are still on full alert to prevent outages related to bad weather, repair failures and provide customers with a reliable power supply.
Below DTEK Donetsk Grids shares some of the electrical safety rules:
- In case of strong wind, you should not be near power lines;
- Do not approach broken wires closer than 8-12 meters and in no case touch it;
- If you see wires that have fallen to the ground, broken or sagging wires, open doors and hatches of electrical installations, as well as damaged poles, please, notify our call center at (0629) 450 473, (093/096/099) 4500473, or sent a message through our Facebook page;
