DTEK Donetsk Grids to restore power supply to 45 settlements over the day

Thunderstorms and squally wind are hitting the Donetsk Region again. Emergency response teams of DTEK Donetsk Grids restored service to 45 settlements, and resumed operation of 34 lines, 321 transformer substations that were de-energized after severe weather. Recovery work is still ongoing to restore power to 11 more settlements.

Now, DTEK Donetsk Grids teams are still on full alert. They are eliminating the consequence of severe weather to bring power back to the following villages:

— The villages of Kalinovo, Ihnatovka, Novopavlovka, Dachinskaya, Zelene, Novy Trud, and Rih farm in the Pokrovsky District;

— The villages of Vysokopole, Zaparomaryevka, and Yablonovka in the Kramatorsk District;

— The village of Razdolovka in the Bakhmutsky District;

“DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests, takes care of its customers and makes every effort to ensure that their homes always have lights on and comfort. Over the last day, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored service to 45 settlements numbering more than 20,000 customers. These days, we involve 91 repair crews and 64 pieces of equipment to do the emergency response work. The company gives their best to restore the power supply to the weather-affected areas as soon as possible,” says Oleksii Degtiarev, CEO at DTEL Donetsk Grids.  

On July 30, bad weather is still expected within the Donetsk Region according to forecasters. Thunderstorms, gusts of south-western wind of 15-20m/s make it level 1 hazard (yellow).

Below DTEK Donetsk Grids shares some of the electrical safety rules:

  • In case of strong wind, you should not be near power lines;
  • Do not approach broken wires closer than 8-12 meters and in no case touch it;
  • If you see wires that have fallen to the ground, broken or sagging wires, open doors and hatches of electrical installations, as well as damaged poles, please, notify our call center at (0629) 450 473, (093/096/099) 4500473, or sent a message through our Facebook;
