Now, the crews of DTEK Donetsk Grids are on full alert. They are eliminating the consequences of rough weather to restore power supply to 8 settlements in Pokrovsky District, 5 in Mariupol, 3 in Volnovakhsky, 2 in Bakhmutsky and 1 in Kramatorsky Districts in the shortest possible time.

DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests, takes care of its customers and does everything to ensure that their homes always have lights on and comfort. Since the beginning of the week, DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored power supply to 153 settlements. And this is more than 113,000 of our customers. Today, 94 repair teams and 69 pieces of equipment are involved in emergency recovery work. Our energy workers are making every effort to restore the power supply to the affected areas as soon as possible,” says Oleksii Degtyarev, CEO of DTEK Donetsk Grids.

It was difficult to do the emergency recovery work because of thunderstorms, strong winds and downpours, which lasted all week with short breaks. In such conditions, it was impossible to complete some work because of life and health hazards. In Mariupol, the monthly rainfall fell during the night of June 17. Despite difficult weather conditions, the company's energy workers restored the operation of 19 transformer substations in Primorsky District and 23 transformer substations in Kalmiussky District. Emergency recovery work in the Central and Levoberezhny Districts is still ongoing.

Adverse weather is hitting Donetsk Region on June 18. According to forecasters, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls of 15-20 m/s (1 hazard level, yellow) are expected in some areas.
