Over the course of a day, DTEK has restored electricity to homes of 4,000 families in the Donetsk region

On August 11, DTEK Donetsk Grids was able to restore power to 5 settlements, de-energized due to hostilities, thus restoring electricity to 4,000 households. Specialists of the energy company put maximum effort to restore electricity once it becomes possible.

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored power to 5 settlements of the region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 4,078 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

According to the national police of the Donetsk region, occupants have shelled Donetsk region 37 times yesterday. Most hits – 11 – were in Avdiivka. They also attacked towns of Bakhmut, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Kurakhove, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Soledar, Chasiv Yar, and Zalizne, villages of Zhelanne, Ocheretyne, Karlivka, Memryk, Otradivka, Orlovka, Novozhelanne, Novomykolaivka and Pisky.

Despite the difficult situation, energy workers were able to perform restoration activities in Bakhmut and Toretsk communities, restoring electricity to 2,000 and 1,200 families correspondingly. Besides, they conducted repairs in Sloviansk community, restoring electricity to 480 households there.

Shelling of the Donetsk region, including its energy infrastructure, continues. 92 settlements of the region remain without electricity, as energy workers are unable to work there yet. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
