Over the course of a day, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to homes of more than 1,300 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region

Thermal power generation04 November 2022
Yesterday, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews have restored power to 2 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region that were shelled the day before, thus restoring electricity to homes of 1,347 families. Despite shelling and difficult situation with hostilities, specialists continue to repair grids upon permission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of region’s residents.

The enemy continues to shell the Dnipropetrovsk region every day, frequently damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity. Despite constant threat, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews continue to repair lines and equipment, damaged by the enemy, and are doing their best to restore electricity as soon as possible. The work is carried out immediately after obtaining a permit for repairs from SES and AFU.

Yesterday, DTEK energy workers managed to restore operation of grids for 1,347 families in 2 settlements, de-energized due to the shelling the day before. Power supply is now fully restored there.

The situation in the energy system remains intense. For that reason, NPC Ukrenergo has to implement stabilization power cutoffs in the Dnipropetrovsk region. A schedule of power cutoffs is available on the DTEK Dnipro Grids website.

In order to reduce duration and number of power cutoffs, please consume electricity reasonably – switch on energy-consuming devices in turn and minimize electricity consumption from 06.00 to 11.00 in the morning and from 17.00 to 23.00 in the evening. We ask business customers to limit usage of exterior lighting of facades of offices, restaurants, malls.

We also recommend turning on electrical appliances correctly after stabilization power cutoff in order to prevent simultaneous significant load rise and emergencies on the grids. Five simple recommendations from DTEK Dnipro Grids are available here.

If you have a power outage, please inform DTEK Dnipro Grids. We will do everything possible to promptly restore electricity to you.
