Energy workers have restored electricity to almost 800 families in the Donetsk region over the course of a day

On July 21, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore power to homes of residents of 7 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to 790 families in Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts.

Emergency and repair crews of the energy company, with the permission of the military, were able to access damaged grids and restore electricity to a number of households in Avdiivka, Bakhmut and Toretsk communities, which constantly suffer from artillery shelling and air strikes.

Let us recall that performance of restoration activities in the Donetsk region requires a permit from the military, as constant shelling, missile and air strikes may pose a threat to life or health of the company’s employees. As soon as energy workers obtain a permit, they immediately commence emergency restoration activities.

322 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the directions of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 149 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
