DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to 36,000 families over the course of a week

From June 12 to 18, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to access a number of grids damage and repair it, thus restoring power to residents of 81 settlements. Access to electricity has been restored to 36,000 families. Energy workers make every effort to restore power supply once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance. Since February 24, 2022, specialists of the energy company have restored power to a total of more than 4.9 mln families* in the Donetsk region.

DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to 36,000 families over the course of a week

Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 81 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 36,208 families in the frontline Donetsk region.

Including Sunday, when energy workers were able to repair a number of damages and restore electricity to 3,400 families in 3 settlements, affected by constant shelling of the region.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, shelling of the Donetsk region continues. In particular, Vuhledar alone was attacked by missiles 6 times and shelled from the artillery 31 times over the course of the day.

114 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
