Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity after shelling to more than 100,000 families in the Donetsk region

Despite active hostilities in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 211 settlements over the course of the week, thus restoring electricity to homes of 103,738 families in the frontline Donetsk region.

Including the weekend, when energy workers were able to repair a number of damages and restore electricity to 7,400 families.

Active hostilities are ongoing in the Donetsk region. Shelling, missile and air strikes continue. Constant shelling constantly damages grids and equipment. Work of the energy workers remains just as dangerous.

Specialists of the energy company, in their turn, do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Bad weather also added work for the specialists of the energy company: abnormal weather conditions caused introduction of an emergency situation in the region and led to large-scale damages of the grids. Last week alone, energy workers restored electricity to 47,000 families in the Donetsk region, whose homes were de-energized due to bad weather.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 671 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
