DTEK restored electricity to 60,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions over the course of a week
Over the past week, specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators have restored operation of grids, damaged due to hostilities, for 60,000 families in 51 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Most of these settlements regularly suffer from russia’s shelling, so energy workers have to regularly restore electricity there.
“Despite shelling and difficult situation, DTEK Grids energy workers continue to repair grids upon permission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and SES. Since February 24, 2022, we managed to restore electricity to 6.8 mln families in Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. A lot of these families had power supply restored to them on multiple occasions and we will continue to do it again and again,” – notes DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.
The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy conducts active hostilities in Lyman, Bakhmut, Novopavlivka and Avdiivka directions.
Power cutoffs continue to take place in Ukraine due to massive rf’s attacks on the energy infrastructure. Energy workers are doing everything possible to ensure comfort in people’s homes, but the situation in the energy system remains difficult due to the shelling.
Information about current situation with electricity supply is available on the websites of Distribution System Operators in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa regions and the city of Kyiv.
