DTEK restored power supply to 101,000 homes in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions over the course of a week
The majority of restorations last week took place in the Donetsk region, which remains the region of the most active hostilities. Despite the extremely difficult situation, our specialists continue to repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Last week, they managed to restore power to homes of almost 58,000 local residents.
From January 20 to 26, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region restored electricity to 38,400 local residents. Kyiv region also continues to suffer from enemy attacks. Last week, energy workers restored power to 4,600 families here, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy attacks.
“Despite constant enemy attacks on the energy infrastructure of the country and security challenges, our specialists continue to hold the energy front for 1,069 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 16.9 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
