DTEK restored power supply to more than 82,000 homes in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kyiv regions over the course of the week
The majority of restorations were in the Dnipropetrovsk region, especially in the south of the region, which is close to the area of hostilities. Our specialists here managed to repair a number of grids damages and restore electricity to 49,700 families last week.
Donetsk region, meanwhile, remains the nucleus of the most active hostilities with daily shelling, drone, missile and air strikes. Despite the extremely difficult situation, our specialists continue to repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. From February 10 to 16, they managed to restore electricity to homes of 31,300 local residents.
Kyiv region also continues to suffer from enemy attacks. Last week, energy workers restored power to 1,100 families here, whose homes were de-energized after the strikes.
“Despite constant enemy attacks and security challenges, energy workers continue to hold the energy front for 1,090 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 17.2 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
