DTEK restored electricity to almost 75,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions over the course of a week

From July 15 to 21, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO have completely or partially restored power to 56 settlements, de-energized due to enemy attacks, thus restoring electricity to homes of almost 75,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The enemy continues daily shelling of the Dnipropetrovsk region, especially the south of the region, which is close to the frontline. Over the course of a week, energy workers restored power to homes of 39,700 families in the region.

Meanwhile, the situation in the Donetsk region remains extremely difficult due to active hostilities in the region. Energy workers continue to repair grids and equipment once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. From July 15 to 21, they managed to restore electricity to homes of almost 35,000 families in the frontline region.

Odesa region regularly suffers from enemy shelling too. On July 17, our specialists restored electricity to homes of 165,000 families in the Odesa region that were de-energized due to yet another enemy attack.

“For 880 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 13 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
