DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity after shelling to almost 115,000 homes in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Kyiv regions over the course of the week
Last week, specialists in the Donetsk region, where heavy fighting is still ongoing, managed to restore electricity to homes of almost 95,000 families of local residents. Despite constant danger, our energy workers continue to restore electricity in the frontline region once it becomes possible.
From May 19 to 25, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in their turn, were able to restore power supply to 18,000 homes. The enemy continues shelling of the Dnipropetrovsk region, regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.
Odesa region also continues to suffer from enemy attacks. Here, specialists of the energy company were able to restore electricity to 1,800 homes last week.
The enemy does not stop attacking the Kyiv region too: over the week, energy workers here restored power to 202 homes, de-energized due to enemy attacks.
“Despite constant shelling and danger, energy workers continue to repair power facilities, damaged by the enemy, for 1,188 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 19 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
Energy workers of DTEK Grids are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
