DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to almost 140,000 homes in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa regions and Kyiv over the course of the week

Over the first week of June, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators (DSO) were able to completely or partially restore power to 53 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of almost 140,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa regions and Kyiv. Specialists of the DTEK Grids DSO repair the grids immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The majority – in the Donetsk region, where heavy fighting is ongoing. Despite an extremely difficult security situation, our specialists continue to repair the girds once it becomes possible. Last week, energy workers managed to restore electricity to homes of 82,900 families of local residents.

From June 2 to 8, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in their turn, were able to restore power supply to 53,600 homes. Most of the restorations were carried out during the weekend, when recent massive enemy attack caused de-energization of over 40,000 homes.

Kyiv also continues to suffer from regular enemy attacks. Last week, DTEK Grids DSO specialists here restored power to 3,000 families, whose homes were de-energized due to the strikes.

Same in the Odesa region, where energy workers restored electricity to more than 100 homes of local residents over the course of the week.

“Despite latest massive enemy attacks and serious security challenges, energy workers continue to hold the energy front for 1,202 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 19.2 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

Energy workers of DTEK Grids are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
