DTEK restored electricity to 37,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions over the course of a week

From May 6 to 12, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO have completely or partially restored power to 65 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 37,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, de-energized due to yet another enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

The most active hostilities are the ones in the Donetsk region. Our specialists restore electricity supply once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Last week, they managed to restore electricity to homes of 30,000 families in the frontline region.

Dnipropetrovsk region constantly suffers from enemy shelling too, especially the southern part of the region, where our specialists also managed to repair a number of grids damages and restore electricity to 6,100 families on May 6 through 12.

The enemy does not stop attacking the Kyiv region. In particular, due to yet another missile attack on the Kyiv region in the morning of May 8, missile fragments damaged the grids that provide electricity to a thousand families in Vyshhorod district. Energy workers managed to promptly restore electricity to all customers, de-energized due to missile attack.

“For 810 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 12.3 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
