From February 12 to 18, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO have restored power to 83 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 116,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, de-energized due to constant enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Dnipropetrovsk region was heavily shelled last week. Enemy attacks damaged grids and equipment. Specialists restored power to 74,000 homes over the course of a week.

Active fighting is ongoing in the Donetsk region. Constant shelling damages grids and substations on a daily basis. Our specialists restore electricity supply once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance. They managed to restore electricity to homes of 42,000 families in the frontline region last week.

“For 726 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have already restored electricity to 11.1 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
