DTEK restored electricity to more than 62,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of a week

Last week, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO have completely or partially restored power to 45 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 62,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, de-energized due to enemy shelling and attacks. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Donetsk region remains an arena of the most active fighting. Our specialists restore electricity supply once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. From May 13 to 19, they managed to restore electricity to homes of 57,200 families in the frontline region.

Enemy shelling and attacks constantly hit the Dnipropetrovsk region too. Here, our specialists managed to eliminate a number of grids damages, caused by shelling, and restore electricity to 4,800 families over the course of a week.

“For 817 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 12.3 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
