From December 4 to 10, energy workers have restored electricity to residents of 103 settlements in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions that constantly suffer from enemy shelling, thus restoring power to more than 73,000 families. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Active fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. Constant shelling continues to destroy the energy system of the region. Despite difficult security situation, last week energy workers were able to restore power to homes of 68,000 families in the Donetsk region, residents of which constantly suffer from the aftermath of enemy shelling.

South of the Dnipropetrovsk region also constantly suffers from shelling that damages grids and equipment. Over the course of the week, energy workers restored electricity to 4,000 residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy attacks.

“For 656 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have restored electricity to 9.6 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
