From January 22 to 29, energy workers have restored electricity to residents of 59 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring power to almost 50,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

The lion’s share of restorations is in the Donetsk region, which remains an arena of active fighting. Constant shelling continues to destroy the energy system of the region. Despite the difficult security situation, last week energy workers were able to restore power to homes of 49,600 families in the Donetsk region, residents of which constantly suffer from the aftermath of enemy shelling.

South of the Dnipropetrovsk region also constantly suffers from shelling that damages grids and equipment. Over the course of a week, energy workers have restored electricity to 240 residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy attacks.

The enemy does not stop trying to attack the Odesa region. Here, energy workers promptly restored electricity to 80 families, left without electricity due to yet another strike.

“For 705 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have already restored electricity to 10.7 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We restored electricity to some settlements close to the area of hostilities on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
