DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to more than 1.8 million homes in the capital and four regions over the course of the week
The majority – in the capital, which the enemy attacked last week. Despite all destruction and security challenges, energy workers in the capital restored electricity to more than 771,000 homes over this period.
From December 22 to 28, energy workers in the Odesa region, which energy system was targeted by the enemy over past several weeks, managed to restore electricity to homes of 452,000 families of local residents.
During the same period, energy workers in the Kyiv region managed to restore power to 356,500 homes that were also de-energized due to enemy attacks.
At the same time, despite an extremely difficult situation in the Donetsk region caused by continuous fighting in its territory, energy workers managed to carry out a number of repairs and restore electricity to 218,000* homes. And though restoring power supply in the region becomes harder and harder, our energy workers continue to restore electricity in the region once it becomes possible.
Besides, from December 22 to 28, specialists in the Dnipropetrovsk region were able to restore power to almost 35,200 homes. The enemy is constantly attacking Dnipropetrovsk region, thus regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.
“The enemy intensified attacks on our country’s energy system. This week set a new anti-record for restorations – electricity has been restored to 1.8 mln homes in the regions of our companies’ presence. Despite everything – large-scale destruction of the energy system, security challenges and fatigue - we continue to work and restore electricity for as long as 1,405 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to a total of over 32.9 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity to some settlements close to the area of hostilities on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
