Over the course of the week, DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to more than 193,000 homes in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Kyiv regions and in the city of Kyiv

From June 30 to July 6, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators (DSO) were able to restore power to residents of 43 settlements, affected by enemy attacks, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 193,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Odesa regions, as well as in the capital. Specialists of the DTEK Grids DSO repair the grids immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

Last week, despite the difficult security situation, energy workers managed to conduct a number of repairs in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 122,700 families of local residents. Despite constant danger, our energy workers continue to restore electricity in the region once it becomes possible.

At the same time, specialists in the Dnipropetrovsk region were able to restore power supply to almost 49,000 homes. The enemy attacks Dnipropetrovsk region more and more often, thus regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.

Kyiv region and the capital also continue to suffer from regular enemy attacks. Last week, specialists of the energy company here were able to restore electricity to 8,500 and 12,500 families correspondingly.

Energy workers have also restored electricity to almost a thousand homes in the Odesa region, which is constantly subjected to enemy shelling too.

“The enemy does not stop attacking Ukraine and destroying peaceful towns and villages. Despite all security challenges, energy workers continue to work and restore electricity for 1,230 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 19.7 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

Energy workers of DTEK Grids are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
