DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to more than 368,000 homes in the capital and four regions over the course of the week
The majority – in the capital, which the enemy continues to constantly attack. Despite all difficulties and destruction, energy workers restored electricity to more than 142,800 homes in Kyiv during this period.
At the same time, despite an extremely difficult situation in the Donetsk region caused by continuous fighting in its territory, energy workers managed to carry out a number of repairs and restore electricity to 84,500* homes. Restoring power supply in the region is becoming more difficult and dangerous: last week, energy workers came under fire again, and a colleague was wounded. Nevertheless, specialists of the energy company continue to work in the region.
From February 2 to 8, specialists in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in their turn, were able to restore power to 81,300 homes. The enemy is constantly attacking Dnipropetrovsk region, thus regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.
Last week, energy workers in the Odesa region, which energy system the enemy does not stop targeting this winter, managed to restore electricity to homes of 54,600 families of local residents.
Besides, during the same period, energy workers in the Kyiv region managed to restore power to more than 5,000 homes that were also de-energized due to enemy attacks.
“The enemy attacks our country’s energy system almost non-stop. Despite everything – large-scale destruction of the energy system, security challenges and fatigue - we continue to work and restore electricity for as long as 1,447 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to a total of over 38.3 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity in some settlements close to the area of hostilities on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
