Over the course of the week, DTEK Grids DSO restored power to almost 2 million homes after the attacks

The majority of last week’s restorations were in the Donetsk region, which remains the area of the most active hostilities. Despite an extremely difficult situation, our specialists continue to repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provides permission for work performance. From October 6 to 12, they managed to restore power to homes of 234 local residents here.

Over the same period of time, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region restored electricity to 329,500 local residents after enemy strikes. Other regions of DTEK Grids DSO presence also suffered from the attacks on the energy infrastructure. In particular, last week energy workers restored power to 60,700 families in the Kyiv region, 470,000 residents of the Odesa region, and 803,000 homes in the capital.

“Despite constant enemy attacks and security challenges, our specialists continue to hold the energy front for as long as 1,328 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 23 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity to some settlements close to the area of hostilities on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
