Over the course of the week, DTEK restored electricity to 63,500 homes, de-energized by shelling, in four regions and in the city of Kyiv

Last week, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO continued to repair grids and equipment after enemy attacks. During this period, specialists were able to restore electricity to homes of 63,500 families in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa and Kyiv regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

In particular, from March 31 to April 6, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region were able to restore power to 33,300 homes. Due to the approaching frontline, the enemy is shelling the Dnipropetrovsk region more and more often, regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.

Meanwhile, despite an extremely difficult situation, specialists in the Donetsk region managed to restore electricity to homes of almost 29,200 local residents. Energy workers continue to repair the girds in the Donetsk region despite constant danger of active hostilities in the region.

Odesa region also continues to suffer from enemy attacks. Last week, energy workers here restored power to almost 400 families, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy attacks.

The enemy does not stop attacking the Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv too: over the course of the week, energy workers restored electricity to 369 and 253 homes of local residents, correspondingly.

“Despite constant enemy attacks and serious security challenges, energy workers continue to hold the energy front for 1,139 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 18.2 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
