DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids restored service to 450 settlements across the region in three days

Within June 26-28, rainstorms, thunderstorms, hail at times, and gusts of wind up to 24 m/s caused massive power outages across Kyiv Region. DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids emergency crews returned power to 205 cities and villages that lost power completely and to 245 that were affected partially. 206 lines and 3,871 transformer substations were restored. Today the company's energy workers work as usual.

To promptly restore power supply to customers, and eliminate the consequences of rough weather, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids was working 24/7 for the last three days. 70 teams were recovering the network failures. It was quite challenging because of trees and branches, which fell on power lines or blocked the way to the accident site.

DTEK is a reliable and conscious company that works 24/7 to ensure that all customers have lights on. Most blackouts were on Saturday. The energy workers restored power supply in 164 settlements that lost power completely and in 187, affected partially. Within three days, the company's workers returned power to 450 settlements of the region. Now the company is handling individual requests from customers that are not associated with weather-related outages, and makes every effort to return the power to our customers as soon as possible,” says Vitalii Shaida, CEO of Kyiv Regional Grids.

Tips for possible massive weather-related outages: information about emergency outages can be checked on the company's website in the section “Power Cuts?”. If your address is there, the company already knows about the outage and restores the power supply. If you didn’t find your address, please contact the company in a convenient way: via the Merezhi Online mobile application (the app is available in AppStore and Google Play Market), chatbot on Viber and Telegram or through private messages on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids Facebook page.
