Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to 17,400 homes after hurricane and shelling

Stormy wind and rain created trouble in the Donetsk region: broken branches and fallen trees caused a number of outages in the region. Thousands of homes were left without electricity.

Nearly 60 crews of DTEK Donetsk Grids worked on power restoration in the Donetsk region. As of now, energy workers managed to restore power to homes of 16,300 customers, whose homes were de-energized due to bad weather. In order to do that, specialists of the energy company restored operation of 145 transformer substations and 25 power lines of various voltage class.

The energy company’s crews continue to work on restoration of power supply to another 13,000 homes, de-energized due to the hurricane.

Meanwhile, hostilities in the Donetsk region do not subside. The enemy continues to destroy peaceful towns and villages, destroying grids and energy equipment as well. Energy workers continue to work and repair lines and equipment, damaged by the enemy, once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Yesterday alone, they managed to restore power to 1,100 homes of local residents, de-energized due to the shelling.
