Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to access a number of grid damages, caused by shelling, carry out required repairs and restore electricity to homes of almost 15,000 families in 5 settlements of the frontline Donetsk region. Specialists of the energy company are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the Donetsk region once it becomes possible in order to support residents of the region in the difficult situation of constant hostilities.

On August 10, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to conduct a number of repairs after shelling, thus restoring power to 5 settlements. Electricity has been restored to 14,857 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains extremely difficult. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy shelled settlements of the region 30 times yesterday. 

Shelling of the Donetsk region is ongoing and continues to destroy grids and equipment. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 900 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. Nearly 70 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
