DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to more than 211,000 families in September

In September, despite active hostilities ongoing in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to conduct a number of repairs and restore power to residents of 253 settlements*, thus restoring electricity to more than 211,000 families in the Donetsk region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power supply in the frontline region once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance. Since February 24 last year, energy workers have restored electricity to a running total of 5.6 mln families.

Hostilities were ongoing in the Donetsk region in September. Shelling, missile and air strikes continued, damaging energy infrastructure on a daily basis. Despite all the difficulties, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 211,691 families in 253 settlements last month.

Last week alone, specialists of the energy company have restored electricity to 85,000 families in 62 settlements of the Donetsk region.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains very difficult. According to the National Police, the enemy launched 22 strikes on the civil population in the Donetsk region yesterday. In particular, Kostiantynivka was hit by an air attack, while another three settlements were hit by missile strikes. Artillery shelling was ongoing as well.

Due to constant shelling, 114 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 587 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
