DTEK Donetsk Grids restored power to 60 settlements over the weekend
The weekend in the Dnipropetrovsk region passed with bad weather that lasts for about a week now. Glaze ice, broken trees and damaged power lines remain its aftermath.
Despite all difficulties, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to restore power to 60 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to bad weather, thus restoring electricity to 24,383 families over the weekend.
Yesterday in particular, electricity has been restored to more than 6,000 families in 24 settlements.
We are now working on restoration of power supply for 27,000 families, affected by bad weather. 75 crews of energy workers are working on restorations.
We are expecting help from additional crews of our colleagues from other regions to facilitate restoration of electricity. Let us remind that several crews of our colleagues came to our aid last week, however, the weather does not abate, so we asked for more helpers.
Bad weather does not abate, and shelling of the Donetsk region does not subside, too. Energy workers keep restoring power supply after hostilities once the military provide permission.
Yesterday alone, the energy company restored electricity to 22,000 families, de-energized due to shelling.
Additionally, please be reminded of the need to follow electrical safety rules:
- do not stay near power lines during strong wind;
- do not approach broken wire closer than 8-12 meters and never touch it;
- If you see wires that fell to the ground, ruptured or sagging wires, open doors and hatches of electrical installations, as well as damaged poles, please, inform us via the energy company’s call center or via private messages on our Facebook page;
If you have a power outage, please inform us about it in a convenient way: via remote service channels: DTEK Donetsk Grids website, company’s Facebook page. You can also contact the call center: +38 (093/099) 450 0 473, though it may take more time due to a large number of calls.
Energy workers are working 24/7 and doing everything possible to provide electricity to every home. Only together and with joint efforts will we be able to endure and overcome these dark times!
