Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored electricity to residents of 11 settlements, de-energized due to shelling

On May 13, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to conduct repairs and restore power to residents of 11 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring access to electricity for 4,400 families. Energy workers commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored power to residents of 11 settlements, affected by hostilities in the region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 4,436 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains extremely difficult. In particular, according to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, Kurakhove community was shelled 6 times over the course of the day. The enemy has also launched a massive missile attack on Kostiantynivka. The entire region suffers from shelling. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 108 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
