Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to residents of 9 settlements, de-energized due to shelling

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have obtained permission from the military to repair a number of grids and equipment damages. They were able to restore power to 9 settlements of the Donetsk region, affected by hostilities, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 2,000 families over the course of the day. Specialists of the energy company make every effort to restore electricity once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

On May 10, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 9 settlements, thus restoring access to power supply for 2,039 families in the frontline region. 

Active hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, shelling of the region continues. In particular, Kurakhove community alone was shelled five times yesterday. Kostiantynivka suffered a missile attack.  

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 104 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
