Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to restore electricity to homes of residents of 17 settlements, affected by hostilities, thus restoring power to more than 20,000 households. Energy workers make every effort to promptly restore power supply once it becomes possible and to support residents of the region in the difficult situation of constant hostilities.

On January 2, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore power to 17 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 20,254 families.

Heavy fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. According to the head of the Donetsk region Pavlo Kyrylenko, last night the enemy struck both the frontline and the relative rear. In particular, Druzhkivka suffered three missile strikes.

96 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
