DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to more than 68,000 families in the frontline Donetsk region over the course of a week
Despite active hostilities in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 99 settlements over the course of the week, thus restoring electricity to homes of 68,624 families in the frontline Donetsk region.
Including the weekend, when energy workers were able to repair a number of damages and restore electricity to more than 13,000 families.
Active hostilities are ongoing in the Donetsk region. Shelling, missile and air strikes continue. Constant shelling constantly damages grids and equipment. Work of the energy workers remains just as dangerous: last week a crew of DTEK Donetsk Grids was shelled during repair of equipment, one of the energy workers was wounded.
Specialists of the energy company, in their turn, do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 656 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
