The most heated situation remains in the Donetsk region, where active hostilities damage power facilities and leave local residents without electricity on a daily basis. Despite extremely difficult conditions, energy workers repair destroyed grids every day. Last week alone, they were able to restore electricity to homes of 36,600 families in the Donetsk region.

The south of the Dnipropetrovsk region is also under shelling, which constantly affects families and energy infrastructure. From March 11 to 17, energy workers have restored power to 2,100 homes in the Dnipropetrovsk region, de-energized due to enemy attacks.

Odesa region was under fire again. The attacks caused damage to power facilities. Nevertheless, every time energy workers promptly commenced emergency-restoration activities and restored electricity to 1,300 families over the course of the week.

“Energy workers continue to maintain the energy system and support Ukrainians in the conditions of the full-scale war. Over the course of more than two years, we have already restored electricity to 11.3 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the capital. We are continuously working to ensure that there is electricity and hope for the better in every home,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of emergency from the AFU and SES.
