People of the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi and the central districts in Dnipro will have power networks upgraded
Overhaul will be carried out within the streets of Petro Hrygorenko in the Central district, and of Spartak and Bogomaz streets in the private sector of the residential area called Livoberezhny-2. The need for work is driven by the poor technical condition and obsolescence of the electrical infrastructure in these residential areas. The networks there were built in the 30-50s of the last century based on the needs of man of that time and no longer meet modern requirements. Therefore, the company consistently updates them.
“DTEK cares about its customers. Our company is consistently transforming the energy infrastructure in Dnipro. We will invest almost 200,000 hryvnias in works on these sections of lines. These funds are provided in the company's repair program for 2021. Upon completion of the project, residents of about two hundred private houses on the Left Bank and in the city center will receive a modern powerful power grid,” says Andrii Tereshchuk, CEO of DTEK Dnipro Grids.
The upgraded power lines will be made of aerial bundled conductors (or simply ABC) with an increased cross section. These are more resistant to the negative effects of the environment (rain, snow, sun, wind, tree branches), safe (they are isolated) and will last more than a decade.
In addition to the new cable, 12 poles will be replaced within the frame of the overhaul in the AND.
Now the work is ongoing on the streets of Spartak and Bogomaz. DTEK Dnipro Grids informs the residents that power outages are possible during overhauls on weekdays from 8:00AM to 5:00PM until the end of March. We need this to ensure the safety of works. You can find out about such planned outages in advance on the company's website https://www.dtek-dnem.com.ua/ua/shutdowns.
As previously reported, in 2021 the energy company will invest more than 1 billion hryvnia in the electrical infrastructure of Dnipropetrovsk Region. DTEK Dnipro Grids will reconstruct two large 150 and 35 kV substations in Dnipro and Marhanets. The company is implementing 14 projects that will increase the reliability of electricity supply to the region's residents and the efficiency of emergency response.
