Residents of Pecherskyi district of Kyiv will receive an upgraded grid
DP No. 7 was built in 1984 at 79 Velyka Vasylkivska Street. The reliability and stability of power supply to 9 boilers, 6 preschool educational institutions, 2 schools, and other customers on Antonovycha and Velyka Vasylkivska Streets depend on it.
‘DTEK is a reliable partner of the society. The reconstruction of the equipment of DP No. 7 is a part of the Kyiv electrical equipment upgrade program, which our company has been steadily implementing. We are investing UAH 7.6 million in the renovation of the distribution point. As a result, Pecherskyi district will get a completely renovated modern power facility to provide reliable power supply to customers in the centre of the capital,’ said Denys Bondar, Acting General Director of DTEK Kyiv Grids.
25 distribution cells will be completely replaced during the reconstruction. New modern equipment will be mounted instead of the worn-out and outdated one. In particular, new cells will provide for the installation of vacuum switches. More reliable and efficient, they also do not contain oil and therefore are safe for the environment.
In addition to cells, the specialists of DTEK Kyiv Grids will upgrade the DC board and the operative current cabinet, the 10 kV busbar bridge, the internal ground loop, and overvoltage protection. They will mount a new remote control system and facilities (telemechanics), lighting, burglar alarms, and renovate the DP building.
It is planned to complete the work by the end of 2020.
As previously reported, the specialists of DTEK Kyiv Grids will have reconstructed the 10 kV cable electric line feeding Obolon district of Kyiv by the end of the year. The project implementation will provide an uninterrupted power supply to district customers and meet their growing electricity needs.
