Electricity has been restored to 4,700 families in the Donetsk region: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues to repair the grids after shelling
Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored power to 5 settlements, affected by hostilities, thus restoring electricity to 4,773 families.
According to the Donetsk RMA, shelling of the Donetsk region continues. In particular, Vuhledar was shelled 35 times and suffered 2 air strikes over the course of the day, while Lyman community was shelled 10 times.
Due to constant damage of grids and equipment, caused by hostilities, 119 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition to shelling, bad weather, which is quite frequent this year, also adds to the work of energy workers: an energy company received a warning from Ukrhydrometcenter about worsening of weather conditions for today. Heavy rains and first level of threat are being forecasted. The company’s crews have been transferred into the high alert mode.
Let us remind that DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 569 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. About 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
