Electricity is restored to 4,000 families in 7 settlements of the Kyiv region: DTEK continues restoring power to the liberated areas
On April 18, DTEK electricians have restored power to 7 settlements in the Kyiv region. Electricity was partially restored to Fenevychi in the Vyshhorod district, and to Hostomel, Borodianka, Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka, Pylypovychi and Poroskoten in the Bucha district.
Yesterday, DTEK emergency crews have also restored power to 2,500 consumers in Brovary, where enemy shelling on April 17 caused damage to one of the high-voltage substations of the Brovary district. As of today, energy workers have restored power to all consumers, left without electricity due to a missile strike.
Overall, service was restored to 4,235 families.
DTEK specialists continue restoring power to districts of the Kyiv region that were liberated from russian invaders by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On April 19, DTEK energy workers plan to perform power restoration activities in 34 more settlements of Brovary, Bucha and Vyshhorod districts. Currently, the company fosters all efforts to restore service to all residents of the Kyiv region by June 1.
Energy workers of all DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators rallied to restore everything that was destroyed by the invaders. DTEK energy workers from Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as the city of Kyiv are helping to restore damaged grids in the Kyiv region. Electricians start their work immediately after mine clearance of these territories by the Ukrainian military and after provision of a permit by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, required to access damaged sites. First, emergency crews restore 110-35 kV high-voltage grids that supply power to the settlements. Then, they repair 10-0.4 kV distribution grids that supply power directly to residential buildings. Additionally, company’s specialists process requests of consumers from towns and villages, where service was completely restored to settlements through 10 kV grids, and started repairing 0.4 kV grids.
167 settlements and over 80,000 households in the Kyiv region remain without electricity.
Emergency crews of energy workers are working non-stop for 55 days in a row in order to promptly restore power to settlements in Kyiv region, affected by hostilities.
DTEK electricians jointly with doctors, volunteers and suppliers of the essential food and medications do everything in their power to support Ukraine and Ukrainians in these difficult circumstances.
