Worsening of weather conditions may lead to mass emergencies on electrical equipment. In particular, strong wind gusts may cause broken power lines, falling of branches and trees, and, thus, de-energization of customers.

“DTEK Grids is a foundation and support for a normal life of the country and Ukrainians. DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids emergency crews already went into enhanced duty. They are ready to promptly restore electricity to the customers’ homes. We remind residents of the Kyiv region that during the storm they should be careful and follow simple electrical safety rules,”informed the company.

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids reminds of the following safety rules:

  • avoid staying near power lines during strong wind;
  • if you discover broken lines, please stay 8-12 meters away, never touch bare wire and inform the company immediately;
  • in case of blackouts, do not try to perform repair by yourself. If a blackout happened in an apartment or house – call an electrician, servicing your house. If there is a blackout at the entire street – contact DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids specialists;

Please use any convenient way to inform about any emergency on the grids:

Call center lines may be overloaded during the storm, so the company asks customers to use online services.

We do not stop our work and continue to maintain reliable and quality power supply to the residents, enterprises and institutions of the Kyiv region.
