By the end of the year, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids plans to launch the 110/35/10 kV Kozin substation and the Gostomel 110/10 substation. After bringing the substations into operation, the residents of two energy-deficient power centers of the region - Irpensky and Obukhovsky – will have more reliable power supply. It became possible to complete construction and reconstruction thanks to the investment incentive RAB tariffs introduced in 2021. Thus, the company could increase its investment program in 2021 by 79% compared to 2020. These funds are used to modernize and develop the energy infrastructure of the region considering the needs of its residents.

Two large-scale projects are at the final stage, such as the reconstruction of the 110/10 Gostomel substation, which is 70% completed, and the construction of the Kozin 110/35/10 kV substation, which is 80% complete. The company plans to put these facilities into operation in the fall of this year. During the reporting period, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids invested UAH 84 million in these projects. The total cost of the construction of the Gostomel and Kozin substations will amount to UAH 220 million. Upon completion of the construction, the substations will provide the company's customers with additional capacity, the equipment will be operating without overloading, which will increase the quality and reliability of power supply to the company's customers in these regions.

In addition, in 2021, the company began construction of the Sofievka substation. It will become a reliable power source for residents of the Kyiv-Svyatoshinsky power center. Its construction is scheduled to be completed in 2022. The total cost of the project will be UAH 137 million.

It became possible to increase the amount of funds that the company invests in construction projects or complete replacement of power equipment due to the RAB tariff that stimulates investments. Therefore, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids could increase the investment program by 79% compared to 2020 - from UAH 342 million to UAH 614 million. Thus, in 2021, we will spend UAH 359 million for the modernization and reconstruction of networks and substations. For comparison, in 2020 we could only allocate UAH 250 million for this.
