Extreme weather covered the region entailing broken lines and leaving 12 settlements without power. Strong winds, precipitation and rapid temperature changes caused a number of blackouts. The energy company is working to restore power supply to 12 settlements, 5 power lines, 67 transformer substations. 32 operational field teams were involved in the recovery.

DTEK Donetsk Grids is restoring the power supply in the following areas:

  • The village of Granitne in the Volnovakhsky District;
  • The village of Pelepchatino in the Bakhmutsky District;
  • The villages of Sadovoe, Lugovoe, Veseloye in the Mariupol District (previously known as the Nikolsky District);
  • The villages of Novoukrainka, Pushkino, Elenovka, Promin, Novomoskovskoe in the Pokrovsky District (previously known as the Selidovsky District);
  • The villages of Lvovka, Lavrovka in the Kramatorsk District (previously known as the Aleksandrovsky district).

Recovery activities will continue until all the consequences of bad weather are eliminated. The power company is making every effort to restore the power supply as soon as possible. The reliability of power supply and the comfort of our customers is our main goal.

As the bad weather continues today, DTEK Donetsk Grids reminds of the need to comply with electrical safety rules:

  • In case of strong wind, do not stay near power lines;
  • Do not approach the broken wire closer than 8-12 meters, and in no case touch it.

Our customers can check outages status on the company's website in the ‘Scheduled and Emergency Outages’ section. If you see your address there, that means that the company knows about the blackout.
